Its chrome polish (gunmetal or black) is fantastic, and its bearings are fine and well aligned. Linn's arms were all made by Jelco until they brought the Ekos SE production in house and im not so sure Jelco ceased supplying components for them-until now.

My first high end rig had a Sumiko FT3 arm (Jelco). New Radikal and Ekstatik are also available to order from today as upgrades to existing Sondek LP12s. LINN EKOS MADE BY JELCO FULL
I like Dynavectors house sound and tend to use them outside of a my full Linn system. Right now it sounds wonderful with the xv-1t. It’s no surprise that in the 1970s and 1980s, Jelco was chosen to build the Sumiko MMT/FT series, Koetsu, and Audioquest PT tonearms. The Aro is very tricky to get just right. It’s a well-made pick-up arm in the style of vintage Japanese Audio Technicas. Linn carts are best used in a full Linn system (lp12) My effort to rebuild ny 80’s Karma to get some nostalgia was a failure! I really felt that time had moved on and the more modern carts was much better

More modern sound with higher resolution (I did not like the original Arkiv though) each new model gave good improvements but none is “romantic” Comments:īig difference between Karma/Troika and the consecutive carts. I have however used Aro, Geddon, Troika, Arkiv-B, Akiva, Kandid, dv xx-2, dv xv-1t, and a rebuilt Karma and some other things in different permutations.
